Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions for both the properties are as shown below:
Additional Notes re Fees
- All fees quoted refer to 2012 bookings.
- The property's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
- Electricity is rechargeable by the Hirer before departure using a key meter at the property (it is credited with approximately £10 on arrival and guests are asked to replenish any electricity used – this can be done in the local shop or post office).
Deposits (Security & Holiday)
- A Security Deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking, refundable within 10 days of departure if all in order. Any deductions would include breakages, damage, excess cleaning, loss of property and postage of any items left at the apartment. In the unlikely event that deductions are necessary, a full breakdown will be sent to you.
- If the booking is made more than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday – 25% of the rental fee must be forwarded as the Holiday Deposit (together with the Security Deposit). See next section for holidays booked less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
Full & Final Payment
- The total balance of the holiday is due not less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. The latest date this payment can be received will be noted on your initial booking correspondence.
- If the booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday – the whole of the rental fee is required immediately (+ Security Deposit).
- Should payment not be received when requested, your booking may be cancelled and the Holiday Deposit lost. Your Security Deposit of £100 will be returned.
Cancellations
- Cancellations more than 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday will result in the forfeit of the Holiday Deposit.
- Cancellations less than 8 weeks prior to the holiday will result in the forfeit of the total rental fee.
- In both cases the Security Deposit will be returned in full. If the apartment can be re-let at this short notice, the rental will be returned minus the Holiday Deposit.
Injury/Loss
- The owner of the property cannot be held responsible for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience suffered by the Hirer or any other person in the party or connected to the party.
Obligations of the Hirer
- The apartment must be left clean and tidy, all furniture should be returned to its original location and all kitchen equipment and utensils cleaned and put away.
- Guests are asked to kindly respect the neighbours and if returning to the property late at night to do so quietly.
Arrival & Departure Times
- Check-in time is not before 2:30 pm
- Check-out is by 10:00 am.
- Once the final payment has been received we will send you full directions to the property together with details on the location of the key.
Miscellaneous
- Bed linen, a hand towel, a tea towel and basic cleaning equipment etc will be provided (guests must provide their own bath and beach towels).
- If we have agreed to you bringing a specific pet, we would politely request that the pet is only allowed in the apartment when it has been cleaned of sand, mud etc and that he/she is not allowed on the furniture at any time.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Elderly/infirm guests should be aware that “Harbour Retreat” in Portreath is only accessible via 19 outdoor steps so booking is at their discretion – contact owner for further details.
